The Red Helmet Foundation provides support to young people who demonstrate enthusiasm for life, compassion for others and a sense of duty.

The RHF provides scholarships for experiential programs that provide life-enriching opportunities for young people to develop their talents while experiencing nature, eco-friendly adventure, exploration or recreation.

The Red Helmet Foundation has been established to support those who aspire to live life to the fullest, while contributing to the betterment of our world.

The Red Helmet Foundation is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide support to young people who demonstrate enthusiasm for life, compassion for others and a sense of duty. Scholarships are provided to help young people develop their talents and expand their passion to help improve the quality of life in our communities.
The Foundation was established in 2005 in memory of Eric Schenk, a photojournalist, activist, adventurer, artist and cycling enthusiast.

Vision
Programming activities center around the common vision that a vital, healthy and connected community is made up of individuals with strong personal commitment, living enthusiastically with compassion for others. RHF supports the development of young people who aspire to live life to the fullest while contributing to the betterment of our world.

Programming Areas
Annual scholarships in one of these areas: Photography, Journalism, Environmental Studies, Volunteerism, Environmentally-sound recreation
